Mouse Skills Tutorial - Chromebook TouchPad

Using the mouse on your computer can be a difficult, especially for new computer users, and even more so for those using a Chromebook for the first time.

If you are using a laptop or Chromebook and do not have a traditional mouse connected to your device you are left using only the touchpad to move around and control your screen. This can be very challenging if yuor touch pad does not have a left/right click button.

I found this fun tutorial at GFCLearnFree.org that will help you improve your mouse skills if using a traditional computer mouse or using your touch pad.

 Let's try it out!

SmartArt graphics by Microsoft - who knew?

Okay, so I haven't had to opportunity until now to start exploring Microsoft Office 2013.

When doing so, I stumbled upon SmartArt graphics. SmartArt allows you to communicate your information using graphics instead of just text. There are so many styles to choose from, I found myself overwhelmed but, there is helpful information on the Microsoft site explaining what to consider to assist you in choosing one layout type over the other to illustrate your ideas.

This tools allows visual representation of your information and ideas. You can create SmartArt graphics by choosing from among many different layouts to quickly, easily, and effectively communicate your message.

Auto Posting your Blogger Updates to your Twitter account and Facebook pag

I have been searching for a way to have my Google Sites post updates to a persons Facebook page.  I found this video that describes using a tool called twitterfeed.com to setup automatically adding your Blogger posts to your twitter and Facebook feeds.

The end result will be: 1) using Blogger to make posts that contain newsletters and announcements about my page, 2) signing up for a twitterfeed.com account (that is free), 3) creating a Facebook page on my facebook account for my Blogger page, 4) Change Facebook Page, Settings for Posting Ability to "Disable posts by other people on my Page timeline" to keep the page strictly for information purposes.

Use this video to learn about "How to automatically publish your blog posts to Facebook or Twitter".
